Copper nitrate basic

Basic copper(II) nitrate, Cu2(NO3)(OH)3, [12158-75-7], is produced by careful thermal degradation of the trihydrate or by direct hydrolysis from solution with alkali. The most common commercially available forms of copper(II) nitrate are the trihydrate, a slightly basic copper nitrate containing about 2.5 moles of water, and as solutions containing about 14% copper.
