Meat extracts, beef is a concentrated product of beef extract. It contains 50% soluble nitrogen compounds and can be used as a microbial culture medium.

It is a fluid substance at room temperature, but has a very high viscosity and is not easy to separate. As the temperature increases, the viscosity will drop sharply and become easy to separate.

Meat extracts, beef is one of the most widely used and common bacterial basal medium, sometimes referred to as common medium.
