Silver-2, 4-Pentanedionate (also known as Silver acetylacetonate) is used to make silver impregnated nanocrystalline metal oxides, with special focus on aluminum oxide. It can be used as a cationization reagent in combination with polar matrices such as 2,5-dihydroxybenzoic acids.
It can also be used as an organic metal precursor to an electrically conductive circuit material. It can also be used for the synthesis of metal/bimetal nanowires for applications as flexible transparent electrodes.

Silver 2,4-pentanedionate is used to make silver impregnated nanocrystalline metal oxides, with special emphasis on aluminum oxide. It is used as a cationization reagent in combination with polar matrices such as 2,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid.
Silver acetylacenate is a metalorganic precursor with moderate solubility in polymer and organic solvents. It can be annealed to produce polymer incorporated silver nanoparticles (AgNPs).
