Methoxybenzylflupyr is a pyrethroid insecticide.
The original drug of methoxyfenvalerate is light yellow transparent oily liquid. Boiling point 334℃, vapor pressure 1.96mPa (25℃, saturated vapor pressure method). Distribution coefficient Kow lgP=5.0(25℃). Relative density 1.21(20℃). Solubility in water 0.73mg/L (pH 7, 20℃). Quickly soluble in acetonitrile, dimethyl sulfoxide, methanol, ethanol, acetone, hexane. Decomposed under UV irradiation and hydrolyzed in alkaline solution. Specific optical rotation [α]D20-23.7℃(c=0.02,ethanol). Flash point ≥110°C.
Metofluthrin is commercially synthesised via a process that begins with the preparation of a fluorinated chrysanthemic acid, which enhances insecticidal potency and vapour pressure. This acid is then reacted with a propargyl alcohol derivative containing a substituted imidazolidinone moiety, forming the active ester compound through controlled esterification. The synthesis is optimised for isomeric purity to maximize knockdown efficacy.
ChEBI: Metofluthrin is a carboxylic ester. It is functionally related to a benzyl alcohol.
Vapour active, knock-down action. Sodium channel modulator.
