Soluble in water and ethanol. Olive green in concentrated sulfuric acid, brownish orange when diluted.

Acid blue 62 is an acid dye whose staining effect can be removed by sepiolite

1-Amino-4-bromo-9,10-dioxo-9,10-dihydroanthracene-2-sulfonic acid and Cyclohexanamine condensation and translated into sodium salt.
