Poly(chlorotrifluoroethylene-co-vinylidenefluor is used in the production of sealing tapes, pipes, coatings, cast films, acid-resistant products, and optical fibers. It is used as an optically transparent material, especially for transmitting infrared light, in sight glasses on corrosion-resistant equipment, and as an electrical and electronic insulating material. It is also used as an anti-aging coating, corrosion-resistant paint, and fluororubber filler to improve its corrosion resistance and tear resistance; when mixed with polyethylene and molded, it can improve the toughness of the finished product.
