Acid Red 215 is mainly used for dyeing wool, silk, tussah silk, vinylon, nylon, and vinylon/cotton blends in weakly acidic or neutral dye baths. It is also used for direct printing on wool, silk, and nylon fabrics. When used for dyeing wool with multiple fibers in the same bath, nylon receives a deeper color, silk a slightly lighter color, vinylon a lighter color, cellulose acetate and cotton show slight staining, and viscose fiber does not stain. It is also used for dyeing leather.
