Distillates (petroleum), hydrotreated heavy naphthenic

Distillates (petroleum), hydrotreated heavy naphthenic is a complex combination of hydrocarbons obtained by treating a petroleum fraction with hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst. It consists of hydrocarbons having carbon numbers predominantly in the range of C20 through C50 and produces a finished oil of at least 100 SUS at 100.degree.F (19cSt at 40.degree.C). It contains relatively few normal paraffins.

Non flammable

Confirmed carcinogen with experimental tumorigenic data. Low toxicity by ingestion and skin contact. A severe skin irritant. Mutation data reported. When heated to decomposition it emits acrid smoke and irritating fumes.
