Acid Green 28 is used for dyeing and printing on silk, nylon, wool, and tussah silk fabrics, producing vibrant colors with good colorfastness. It is also used for leather coloring.
1,4,5,8-Tetrahydroxyanthracene-9,10-dione using hydrochloric acid reduction or 1,4-Dichloro-5,8-dihydroxyanthracene-9,10-dione and condensation 4-Butylbenzenamine, oxidation, with 100% sulphonated sulfuric acid, and then into sodium salt.
