3,4-Dimethoxycinnamic acid (Methyl ferulic acid; 25, 50 and 100 µM) attenuates the ethanol-induced apoptosis of ethanolexposed L-02 cells.
3,4-Dimethoxycinnamic acid (25, 50 and 100 µM) inhibits the expression levels of Nox4 and p22
phox
in L-02 cells.
3,4-Dimethoxycinnamic acid (25, 50 and 100 µM) treatment attenuates ethanol-induced MAPK phosphorylation in L-02 cells.
3,4-Dimethoxycinnamic acid decreases the expression levels of superoxide dismutase, catalase and phospholipid hydroperoxide gluthione peroxidase, and downregulates the levels of Bax/Bcl-2 and the cleaved forms of caspase-3 in a dose- and time-dependent manner.

通用方法：在干燥的反应容器中，将藜芦醛（500 mg，1.0当量）和丙二酸（981 mg，2.0当量）溶于二甲基甲酰胺（5 mL）中，随后加入DABCO（105 mg，0.2当量）。将反应混合物在100-110°C下搅拌反应60-90分钟。反应进程通过薄层色谱（TLC）监测。反应完成后，将混合物缓慢倒入冰水中，用乙酸乙酯（3×10 mL）萃取。合并有机相，用无水硫酸钠干燥，过滤并减压浓缩。粗产物通过从氯仿/己烷混合溶剂中重结晶纯化，得到3,4-二甲氧基肉桂酸，收率良好。
