Molosultap (belonging to the class of salinomycin pesticides) is a broad-spectrum, highly effective, low-toxicity, and low-residue biomimetic pesticide.
Pure product is white crystal, m.p. 169～171°C (decomposition), relative density 1.30～1.35 (20°C). It is hygroscopic. Freely soluble in water, slightly soluble in methanol, dimethylformamide, dimethyl sulfoxide, insoluble in acetone, ethyl ether, chloroform, ethyl acetate and benzene. Stable in acidic and neutral solution, easily decomposed in alkaline solution. Industrial product is amorphous granular solid, m.p. 142～143℃.
