Description
2-Methoxyethyl Acrylate (MTA) is a specialty monomer for synthesizing specific polymers in the coatings, paint, adhesive, and plastic market segments. Polymers containing MTA have improved bendability, flexibility at lower temperatures, UV resistance, water resistance, and adhesion. It improves oil resistance due to its polarity when used as an additive.

Flammable
Safety Profile
Poison by skin contact.
Moderately toxic by ingestion and
inhalation. Experimental reproductive
effects. A skin irritant. Flammable when
exposed to heat or flame; can react with
oxidlzing materials. To fight fire, use foam,
CO2, dry chemical. When heated to
decomposition it emits acrid smoke and
irritating fumes. See also GLYCOL
