Commercial manufacture of the prochloraz-copper complex typically begins with synthesis of technical-grade prochloraz, followed by a controlled chelation step in which the fungicide is reacted with a zinc salt, commonly coper chloride or copper sulphate, in an organic or mixed aqueous/solvent medium. The process adjusts pH and temperature to promote formation of the stable 1:1 coordination complex, then isolates it by filtration or crystallisation.

Broad-spectrum with protectant and eradicant properties. Disrupts membrane function.
