描述Nisin A is an antibacterial peptide. It is produced by the lactic acid bacterium L. lactis using uncommon amino acids, including lanthionine, and is a member of the class of antibiotics referred to as lantibiotics.
体外活性Nisin 被分类为一种A型（I）lantibiotic，其通过mRNA合成，并且翻译后的肽因为翻译后修饰包含几种不寻常的氨基酸。Nisin 是由某些革兰氏阳性细菌产生的抗菌肽，包括Lactococcus和Streptococcus属[1]。
