描述L-Ascorbic acid sodium salt (Standard) is the analytical standard of sodium ascorbate, primarily utilized for quantitative determination and bioanalytical research. Sodium ascorbate is a potent endogenous antioxidant and an essential electron donor involved in numerous biosynthetic pathways. It functions as a selective inhibitor of Cav3.2 channels (T-type calcium channels) with an IC50 of 6.5 μM. Furthermore, it acts as a significant modulator of the extracellular matrix, serving as a promoter of collagen deposition and an inhibitor of elastogenesis, making it a vital component in tissue engineering and dermatological studies.
