Laurethamide, also known as dodecylamide, can be used as a collector. A flotation experiment was conducted on bauxite using dodecylamide (lauramide) as a collector. With the pulp pH adjusted to 5 and the synthetic product dosage at 160 g/t, after one roughing stage, the aluminum-to-silicon ratio of the flotation concentrate reached 6.65, and the alumina recovery rate reached 80.85%. Flotation practice has demonstrated that the synthesized dodecylamide (lauramide) has excellent collecting properties and is an effective reagent for reverse flotation of bauxite.
