Industrial product is light yellow powder. Melting point 55-60°C, relative density 1.21-1.23. Soluble in benzene, acetone, ether and methanol, insoluble in water.
N,N-DIISOPROPYLBENZOTHIAZOLE-2-SULFENAMIDE is a delayed-effect accelerator. In natural rubber, its delaying effect is greater than that of accelerator NOBS, while its vulcanization speed is also faster at the vulcanization temperature. It is commonly used in the manufacture of tires, hoses, belts, and industrial products. The typical dosage is 0.4-1.5 parts, mixed with 2.5-0.5 parts of sulfur.
