Acrylic acid-hydroxypropyl acrylate copolymer is used as an intermediate in pesticides and pharmaceuticals. T-225 is also used as a scale inhibitor and dispersant in circulating cooling water and oilfield wastewater reinjection, and as a dispersant for calcium phosphate and iron oxide during pre-filming. It is highly effective in inhibiting calcium phosphate and iron oxide scale; adding 10-1% can inhibit 96% of calcium phosphate deposition, disperse 83.2% of iron oxide scale, and 84.7% of clay and oil scale. It also has a corrosion inhibitor effect when mixed with other agents. Suitable for alkaline conditions and circulating cooling water with high phosphate content, it is mainly used as a scale inhibitor and dispersant in heating heaters and non-evaporative boiler furnace water treatment, various circulating cooling water, and oilfield reinjection water with high calcium content. The normal dosage is 10-30 mg/L. It can be compounded with organophosphorus compounds to form a fully organic (alkaline) formulation.
