(R)-2-Aminobutyric Acid is an isomer of L-Aminobutyric Acid (A602930) which is a receptor antagonist.
ChEBI: D-alpha-aminobutyric acid is an optically active form of alpha-aminobutyric acid having D-configuration. It is an alpha-aminobutyric acid and a D-alpha-amino acid. It is an enantiomer of a L-alpha-aminobutyric acid.
reaction type: solution phase peptide synthesis
Currently, the methods reported in the literature for the synthesis of D-2-aminobutyric acid such as the synthesis of D-2-aminobutyric acid from D-configuration methionine by desulfurization and other steps; ammonification and hydrolysis reaction method of butyronic acid, and chemical disassembly method. First, the racemic 2-aminobutyric acid is acetylated to obtain N-acetyl-2-aminobutyric acid, and then the aminoacylase extracted from pig kidney is used to selectively hydrolyze off the (S)-configuration N-acetyl-2-aminobutyric acid to obtain the (S)-2-aminobutyric acid, and the (R)-N-acetyl-2-aminobutyric acid which is not hydrolyzed is subjected to the racemic treatment by an appropriate method to obtain racemic 2-aminobutyric acid, thus realizing the dynamic of its 2-aminobutanoic acid. Aminobutyric acid, thus realizing its dynamic kinetic splitting and achieving a final yield of 71.9%.
