(3-Acryloxypropyl)methyldichlorosilane is an organosilane compound containing a halogen atom (chlorine) and serves as a key raw material for the preparation of cationic etherifying agents. The chlorine atom in this compound undergoes a substitution reaction with the hydroxyl groups in quaternary phosphonium-modified chitosan to yield intermediate 2 and introduce an alkenyl group. Subsequently, using reverse emulsion polymerisation, acrylamide and intermediate 2 undergo a polymerisation reaction to yield quaternary phosphonium polyacrylamide.
