ozokerite (cresin) is a naturally occurring microcrystalline wax. It regulates formulation viscosity, has suspension properties, and gives products stability. ozokerite is a hydrocarbon wax derived from mineral or petroleum sources that, when refined, yields a hard white microcrystalline wax known as cresin.
