Anti Shock vasoactive drugs

Shock is a syndrome of the disorder of cell metabolism and the dysfunction of microcirculation blood flow which caused and characterized by the insufficiency of capillary perfusion in the heart, brain, kidney and tissues. In the treatment of shock, vasoactive drugs play an important role. Vasoactive drugs of clinical applications can be divided into vasodilators and vasoconstrictor. Vasodilators include α receptor blockers such as phentolamine, phenoxybenzamine, high-dose atropine and anisodamine, β receptor agonist such as terbutaline, butanol, dopamine receptor activator such as dopamine, in addition to glucocorticoids, sodium nitroprusside, calcium antagonists.

Vasodilators are mainly used for low-impedance shock of the dilation of small arterial. They include α receptor agonists such as norepinephrine, meta-hydroxylamine, phenylephrine, methoxamine, etc. and the peptide vasoconstrictor drugs such as vasopressin, etomidate and so on.
