What is the solubility of Aminoguanidine hydrochloride?

Aminoguanidine hydrochloride exhibits varying solubility depending on the solvent. 

It is completely soluble in water.

The solubility in water is reported to be greater than or equal to 100 mg/mL. Other sources state it is soluble to over 43 mg/mL or 50 mg/mL, though heat may be needed at this concentration. One source indicates a solubility of 22 mg/mL in water.

In PBS (pH 7.2), its solubility is approximately 100 mg/ml.

DMSO: Soluble at 100 mg/mL (with the need for ultrasonic treatment), 22 mg/mL, and also reported at 5.5 mg/ml. It is noted that hygroscopic DMSO can significantly impact the solubility.

Ethanol: It is reported to be soluble at approximately 1.6 mg/ml, while other sources state it is insoluble in ethanol.

Dimethylformamide (DMF): Soluble at approximately 5 mg/ml.
