5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) injection is not only used as an anticancer agent for the treatment of many types of cancers such as breast, colon or rectal, pancreatic and stomach. It is mainly used to slow down or stop the growth of cancer cells in the body. In addition, 5-Fluorouracil injection is also used to treat verruca vulgaris and plantar warts. and is highly effective, with a low recurrence rate and minimal damage. The combination of 5-FU and triamcinolone acetonide injection is also effective in the treatment of keloid lesion. In addition, intra-lesional injection of 5-fluorouracil has been shown to be beneficial in alleviating pigment recovery in patients with limited stable vitiligo.
