Dodecylsuccinic anhydride is an organic reagent used for protein modification[1]. This reagent can be modified under very mild conditions at room temperature, pH 8.4. It can be used to study the role of hydrophobic bonds and the relationship between protein structure and activity. In addition, dodecylsuccinic anhydride can also be used as an anhydride hardener in epoxy resin curing[2] or as a raw material for the preparation of water-based epoxy resins.
