BASIC YELLOW 11 is mainly used for dyeing and printing acrylic fibers and their blends. It produces a bright yellow color in acrylic fibers and is primarily used for dyeing loose acrylic fibers, slivers, and yarns. With the addition of auxiliaries, it can be used for dyeing modified polyester, acetate fibers, and polyvinyl chloride fibers. It can also be used to dye paper and is suitable for direct printing on acrylic, modified polyester, and acetate fiber fabrics. Besides dyeing bright yellow alone, it is often blended with Cationic Red GTL or Red BL to produce vibrant orange to deep red.
BASIC YELLOW 11 is obtained by condensation, salt formation, filtration and drying of 1,3,3-trimethylindoline acetaldehyde and 2,5-bismethoxyaniline.
