Antioxidant 5057 has low toxicity and is safe to use; compared with phosphites, it has no ash, no phosphorus, and does not pollute the environment; it also has unique liquid properties and is convenient for measurement and transportation. It has the characteristics of outstanding thermal stability and strong high temperature oxidation resistance. At the same time, it has good compatibility with oil products.
Oxidation inhibitor 5057 (Antioxidant 5057), as a kind of aromatic liquid amine antioxidants, be the reaction product of N-phenylaniline (pentanoic) and diisobutylene, is soluble in the organic solvents such as toluene and sherwood oil. Oxidation inhibitor 5057 is by the butyl diphenylamine derivatives, the octyl diphenylamine derivative, the butyl octyl diphenylamine derivatives, the dioctyl diphenylamine derivative, other is not clear thing composition on a small quantity, with the liquid phase mass spectrometry, analyze, wherein the butyl diphenylamine derivatives accounts for 22~28%, and the octyl diphenylamine derivative accounts for 35~39%, and the butyl octyl diphenylamine derivatives accounts for 20~24%, the dioctyl diphenylamine derivative accounts for 9~12%, and other fails to understand that on a small quantity, thing accounts for below 6%.
Antioxidant 5057 is a 100% active liquid aromatic amine antioxidant for processing and long-term thermal stabilization. It contains benzenamine, N-phenyl-, reaction products with 2,4,4-trimethylpentene. Antioxidant 5057 has low volatility and is highly efficient and prevents thermal degradation of polymers. Used in elastomers, polyols and polyurethane. It is used in manufacturing of flexible polyurethane slabstock foams. Its typical dosage level is 0.1-0.4%.
Irganox 5057 is used in combination with hindered phenols, such Irganox
1135, as an excellent co-stabilizer in polyurethane foams. In the manufacture of flexible polyurethane slabstock foams, core discoloration or scorching results from the exothermic reaction of diisocyanate with polyol and
diisocyanate with water. Proper stabilization of the polyol protects against
oxidation during storage and transport of the polyol, as well as scorch protection during foaming. Irganox 5057 can also be used in other polymers
such as elastomers and adhesives, and other organic substrates.
Irganox 5057 is highly efficient and prevents, even at low concentrations,
thermal degradation of polymers. Irganox 5057, when used in combination
with a phenolic antioxidant, such as the liquid Irganox 1135, is very active in
preventing scorching of polyurethane flexible foams.
