Blue-green powder. Insoluble in water, acetone, ethanol, toluene, slightly soluble in chloroform (hot), o-chlorophenol, pyridine (hot). Brown in concentrated sulfuric acid, blue when diluted. Greenish-blue in alkaline solution of insurance powder, reddish-blue in acidic solution.
