Furfurylamine Hydrochloride is a useful reagent for employing copper as a catalysis to synthesize imides from aldehydes or alcohols and amine hydrochloride salts. Furfurylamine Hydrochloride can also be used in Mannich aminomethylation of 5'',6'',7,''8''-tetrahydro-1''H,3''H-spiro[cyclohexane-1,2''-quinazolin]-4''-one to prepare a heterocyclic system with an annelated azabicyclic fragment.
