Sodium Palmate

Sodium palmate strips away dirt and oil: Sodium palmate quite literally lifts oils, dirts and other impurities off of the skin so that they can be washed away.

Sodium palmate can be used as a base ingredient in soap making and cosmetics. It is a core ingredient in many types of soap and is made from palm oil.It is often combined with sodium cocoate, coconut oil sodium salt and the sodium salt of animal fat, sodium tallow. Together these three are one the major constituents of modern soap base.

While sodium palmate is a gentle cleanser, because it’s so good at stripping oils off of the skin, it can be drying.
