Description
The isomer of isoliensinine (q.v.), this alkaloid is present in the embryo of the
seeds of Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn.
Uses
Liensinine is a bisbenzylisoquinoline alkaloid with inhibitory properties towards the activation of microglial cells. In testing with rats, iensinine decreased epileptic discharges were observed on electrocorticograms.
