Uses
(S)-3-Aminopiperidine dihydrochloride serves as a chiral template and structural precursor for synthesizing low-dimensional chiral metal halides. It is used to prepare lead-based perovskites such as (S-C5H14N2)PbBr4, antimony(III) enantiomers like (R/S-C5H14N2)2SbCl5·2Cl, and manganese/cadmium-based complexes including (R/S-C5H14N2)MCl4·H2O (M = Mn, Cd)[1][2][3].
