Description
Isoscopolamine is an antiasthmatic drug, which has the effect of relaxing smooth muscle and antihistamine. It can be used clinically in patients with chronic bronchitis and bronchial asthma.

ChEBI: Isoscopoletin is a hydroxycoumarin that is esculetin in which the hydroxy group at position 7 is replaced by a methoxy group. It is the major primary metabolite of scoparone. It has a role as a plant metabolite. It is a hydroxycoumarin and an aromatic ether. It is functionally related to an esculetin.
Biological Activity
Isoscopoletin (6-Hydroxy-7-methoxycoumarin) is an active ingredient in Artemisia argyi. It has a significant inhibitory effect on cell proliferation with IC50 values of 4.0 μM and 1.6 μM against human CCRF-CEM leukemia cells and drug-resistant subline CEM/ADR5000, respectively. It (6-Hydroxy-7-methoxycoumarin) has the activity of inhibiting HBV replication.
