Description
Calcein Blue AM is an acetoxymethyl ester of Calcein Blue, a fluorogenic dye used to assess cell viability. Calcein Blue AM is hydrolyzed by intracellular esterases to release the fluorescent probe Calcein Blue. Calcein Blue is retained by living cells and displays excitation/emission maxima of 360/445 nm, respectively.
Uses
Calcein Blue AM is a cell permeable fluorescence dye used for cell imaging. Calcein Blue AM has excitation and emission at 360 and 445 nm, respectively. It is also a related compound of Calcein Blue (C125405).
