What is the use of Uridine 5'-monophosphate(UMP-H)?

Uridine 5'-monophosphate(UMP-H) is a core product in the pyrimidine biosynthesis pathway. It is not only a direct precursor for the synthesis of all other pyrimidine nucleotides (such as UTP, CTP, and TTP), thus providing the basic raw materials for the construction of RNA and DNA, but it can also be phosphorylated to UTP under certain conditions to participate in metabolic activities such as glycogen synthesis.
