Crystal Structure of Terbium silicide
Jun 14,2024
Terbium silicide (TbSi2) is a silicide. Its TbSi2 nanowires are potential materials for applications in nanoelectronic devices. TbSi2 is crystalline with a hexagonal or tetragonal structure. The internal atomic structure of TbSi2 nanowires is shown below:
Structure models of (a) the hexagonal TbSi2 bulk structure and (b) the tetragonal TbSi2 bulk structure, but without the usually present vacancies. (c–d) Previously proposed structure of rare earth silicide nanowires, (c) in cross-sectional view and (d) in side view.
