• English Overview

  The primary active ingredients of Magnolia Bark Extract are a pair of biphenyl-type lignan isomers——Magnolol and Honokiol, which are also the official quality markers of Magnolia officinalisbark in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia (total ≥2.0% in dried bark; STAHBIO selects batches with ≥3%–5% from M. officinalis/ M. officinalis var. biloba).

  Together they form the material basis for the traditional TCM actions of “moving Qi, drying dampness, descending Qi and relieving fullness,” and confer anxiolytic/sedative (GABAₐ modulation), anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, broad-spectrum antimicrobial (incl. H. pylori), gastrointestinal smooth muscle relaxation, neuroprotective, and anti-fibrotic/anti-tumor activities. STAHBIO supplies standardized extracts with total phenols 5%–90%+ and individual monomers ≥98% (HPLC), with optional β-cyclodextrin inclusion or phospholipid complex forms for improved solubility.
