Overview:
Centella asiatica, also commonly called gotu kola, is a aquatic herbal plant native to many tropical and temperate areas. It is widely consumed as edible vegetable and has a long history of being used in traditional medicine. Centella asiatica contains multiple bioactive triterpenoid saponins, primarily asiaticoside, madecassoside, asiatic and madecassic acids, know collectively as Centellosides. Recent research has shown evidence on Centella asiatica and its extract's benefits as cosmetic ingredients (skin-soothing1, wound healing2, anti-aging3) and as a dietary supplement (neuroprotective and cognitive functions4).
Hovane offers natural Centella asiatica extract as standardized powder extract, standardized to contain 20% - 95% Centellosides.
