Product Description

BISMUTH VANADIUM OXIDE (BISMUTH VANADIUM OXIDE) is mainly used in high-grade bright monochrome industrial coatings and automotive coatings, providing excellent weather resistance, good light preservation and high hiding power. Coated products are also suitable for plastic products. The general chemical formula of vanadium-bismuth tetraoxide is [Bi2O2] 2+ [VO3.5-0.5] 2-, where the port represents the oxygen ion vacancy inherent in the oxygen octahedron, the dark ball in the figure represents Bi, and the far right represents Bi2O22+. BiVO4 is a non-TiO2-based visible light semiconductor photocatalyst.

Production method

The method of precipitation calcining is adopted. First, bismuth nitrate, sodium vanadate and sodium molybdate are prepared into nitric acid aqueous solution, and the amorphous oxides of Bi2O 3, V2O5 and MoO3 are precipitated with caustic soda. After filtration, washing and drying, polycrystalline BiVO4/BI2MoO6 pigment particles are calcinated at about 600℃, which is the product. The particles contain not only BI2MoO6 of the rhombic system, but also BiVO4 of the tetragonal system connected to it.
