It is a white crystal with deliquescent properties. Salty, soluble in water, organic solvents such as ethanol, acetone, and pyridine. It belongs to low toxicity, but it has strong irritating and corrosive effects on eyes and mucous membranes.
Lithium chloride is mainly used in the field of air conditioning, as a flux, desiccant, chemical reagent, and used in the production of fireworks, dry batteries and lithium metal.
