Isobutylacetate, also known as "isobutylacetate", is an esterification product of acetic acid and 2-butanol. It is colorless and transparent liquid at room temperature, mutually soluble with ethanol and ethyl ether, slightly soluble in water, flammable, and has ripe fruit flavor. It is mainly used as solvent for nitrocellulose and paint, as well as chemical reagents and flavoring compounds.
Properties: Water white liquid with mild fruit ester aroma.
Solubility: slightly soluble in water, soluble in ethanol and ethyl ether.
Stability: stable in weak acid medium.
Product USES: mainly used as a thinner for nitrocelluar paint and vinyl perchloride paint, also used as a solvent, can also be used as a thinner for plastic printing paste, pharmaceutical industry extraction agent.
