Amidithion is a largely obsolete organophosphate insecticide that was mainly used on turf. It is highly soluble in water and has a low volatility, but little is known about its fate or persistence in ecosystems. Based on its chemical structure it is expected to be moderately to highly toxic to humans and biodiversity.
