Vat Brown 3

Dark brown powder. Insoluble in water, slightly soluble in xylene. Dark burgundy color in concentrated sulfuric acid, produces reddish brown flocculent precipitate after dilution. Reddish brown in alkaline solution of insurance powder, yellowish brown in acidic solution.
