A member of the family of hepatotoxic alkaloids, this base occurs in Ligularia brachyphylla Hand-Mass., L. dentata Hara and L. elegans Casso The alkaloid has [α]²⁴_D - 34° (c 0.S2, CHCI3) and has not yet been obtained in a crystalline form.
