2-(2-(2-Aminoethoxy)ethoxy)acetic acid hydrochloride is an amino acid derivative salt reagent with an amino and carboxyl group at each end of its molecular structure, which can be used in the field of nucleic acid sequencing. It can also be used as a component for the synthesis of PNA oligoether conjugates. Single and double conjugation of 2-(2-(2-aminoethoxy)ethoxy)ethanol was obtained using carbonyldiimidazole. Multiple attachment of 2-(2-(2-(benzoyloxy)ethoxy)ethoxy)acetic acid building blocks to the N-terminus and β-amino groups of inserted diaminopropionic acid residues was achieved using a post-PNA assembly coupling procedure[1].
