Ethyl perfluorobutyl ether

Ethyl perfluorobutyl ether is a commercially available segregated hydrofluoroether (HFE) identified by the commercial names HFE-7200 and Novec 7200[1]. Ethyl perfluorobutyl ether serves as a solvent for preparing silica particle suspensions in electrophoretic deposition (EPD), where it disperses silica powder and molecular sieves while offering low particle sedimentation and high suspension stability[2]. The solvent exhibits a boiling point of 76.0°C and a density of 1.43 g·cm^-3 at 25°C[2].

Ethyl perfluorobutyl ether (163702-06-5) is a fluorinated organic solvent that has several industrial uses.It is also used as a functional fluid in closed systems such as heat transfer systems and hydraulic systems.
