Radium hypophosphite would have the molecular
formula of Ra(H2PO3)2 and Ra(HPO3) with the molecular
weight of 383.6963 and 304.9974 g/mol, respectively.
These salts have no CAS number and have
never been prepared but could be formed by reacting
the oxide with phosphorous acid:
RaO + 2H3PO3 ? Ra(H2PO3)2 +H2O
In view of the intense radioactivity of 226Ra, it is
unlikely that these salts will ever be prepared.
