Vicamid 182 is an amide precursor of 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-2-alkyl-imidazoline compounds which were both studies for corrosion control of carbon steel in sulfuric acid environments of the petroleum industry using weight loss measurements. Vicamid 182 showed to a corrosion inhibitor.
