FLUOXASTROBIN

Fluoxastrobin is a foliar applied, translaminar, systemic fungicide with preventative activity used for disease control on a wide range of vegetables. It has a low aqueous solubility and a low volatility. It can be moderately persistent in soil systems and stable in water-sediment systems. No significant risks to human health have been identified. Toxicity to most biodiversity species tends to be low to moderate.

Fluoxastrobin can be used as Leaf-systemic broad-spectrum fungicide for use in cereal and food crops amd member of methoxy-imiodihydro-dioxazines.

Fluoxastrobin is commercially produced through a multi-step organic synthesis that constructs its strobilurin-based structure, which includes a methoxycarbamate moiety and a substituted phenyl ring. The process typically involves the formation of key intermediates such as substituted benzoic acids and heterocyclic compounds, followed by esterification and etherification reactions to assemble the final molecule.
