Using p-toluenesulfonic acid as catalyst, Perfluoroalkylethyl acrylate was synthesized.
Experimental procedure: Add polyfluoroalcohol, acrylic acid, and solvent to a dry four-necked flask equipped with a stirrer, reflux condenser, thermometer and water separator, and add p-toluenesulfonic acid after stirring evenly. The temperature is raised to reflux, and the reaction is carried out for a period of time until the water collected in the water separator reaches the theoretical amount. The solvent and excess acrylic acid were evaporated, and 5% (mass fraction) sodium bicarbonate solution was added dropwise to the cooled reaction solution until the pH was about 7-8. Filtration yielded a milky white solid. After vacuum drying, vacuum distillation was performed to collect Perfluoroalkylethyl acrylate at 82-134°C under 199.3Pa.
